Moments from the Mountains
Giving Rest to a Life of Strength
Victoria is an elderly woman who lives in a remote area of the Andes Mountains in Ancash, Peru. During my trip to Peru in May 2025, Pastor Jose told us about her and shared that she was in desperate need of a bed frame. She had been sleeping on a mattress directly on the floor.
God is so amazing in how He orchestrates everything with purpose. Just the day before, we had purchased an extra bed frame without knowing exactly why. After speaking with Pastor Jose, we placed the bed frame on top of the car and drove to Victoria’s home.
When we arrived, the people in the area were filled with joy seeing us come with the bed frame. My cousin Italo, along with Pastor Jose, put the bed together. As we were there, we noticed how old and worn Victoria’s mattress was, and we knew we couldn’t stop there. We decided to return the next day with a new mattress, along with new sheets, pillows, and bedding.
The following day, when we pulled up with the mattress, Victoria’s daughter and her entire family were overjoyed—especially her granddaughter, who often sleeps beside her at night. Seeing their excitement and gratitude was incredibly moving.
Being able to bless Victoria with a proper bed was truly a gift orchestrated by God. It was a beautiful reminder that He goes before us, preparing the way, and inviting us to be part of His love in action.

A New Uniform, A New Sense of Pride
A huge part of our mission is always to expand the vision. This year, we felt led to partner with a school in the Andes Mountains of Peru to help meet their needs. For 2025, our organization chose Jesucristo Redentor de Ticrapa, and one of their greatest requests was school uniforms.
We were honored to bless this school with uniforms for the very first time. Four teachers—including the principal—and 42 children received uniforms, marking a special and meaningful milestone for this community.
In the coming months, we will also be building a library, supplying books, creating cubbies, building a soccer field, and adding many more exciting resources. Stay tuned to this page for updates in March, when I return to Peru to deliver these beautiful plans God has set in motion—just in time for the start of their school year.

Two Burners, 80 Children, Endless Dedication
When we were touring Santa Roja Primary School in Cayasbamba, Peru, we were unexpectedly led into a very small kitchen to see where the daily cooking takes place. It felt as though God Himself was guiding us into that room. Of all the schools we’ve visited, we had never once been taken to tour a kitchen before.
The woman who runs the kitchen and prepares the meals began showing us the pots and pans she uses each day. Then she showed us the stove. It has three burners—only two of them work. She explained that every morning, she boils gallons upon gallons of water to sterilize it so the children can have clean drinking water throughout the day. She also prepares lunch every single day for all the students and teachers using only those two burners.
Did I mention she does this for EIGHTY (80) children every day—on a broken stove with only two working burners?
As she spoke, I felt the presence of God come over me so strongly that tears filled my eyes. The pastors were there with my father and Guisella, and everyone looked at me, unsure why I was crying. God knew why. He brought me into that kitchen for a reason, and in that moment, I knew without a doubt that Angels of the Andes was going to bless Santa Roja Primary School with a brand-new stove.
I told them, “You are getting a new stove.”
When we left that day, they likely thought how kind it was for the Americans to visit—never imagining that just six weeks later, a brand-new stove would be sent to them. And that day came as a beautiful celebration. The pastors and Guisella delivered the stove to the school. Teachers and parents gathered to welcome it. They had prepared speeches and prayed blessings over the stove.
They were deeply grateful—and because of it, the children will have clean water and warm, nourishing meals for many years to come.

What a Basket Can Carry
On my way to Peru, I had a very specific plan in mind. Everything felt laid out and certain—but the funny thing was that God had completely different plans for me.
When I arrived at my home in Caraz, Peru, my niece, Guisella, shared that she had been connecting with a group of people who support elderly individuals in need of various resources. She asked if we could buy food for some of them.
Immediately, I thought about something we do in our local community in Poughkeepsie called Blessing Bags. So I said, “Yes—let’s do Blessing Baskets!” We bought small laundry baskets and filled them with rice, pasta, canned milk, oil, crackers, beans, and quinua. We prepared nine baskets and delivered them to locals around Caraz who were struggling. One woman even knew my grandparents—that moment alone made the experience unforgettable.
God had planned this part of my trip long before I arrived. I had no idea that Guisella and I would walk this path together, but our hearts aligned with His Word, and we stepped out in faith, trusting Him to guide our steps—to be His hands and feet.
It was a beautiful experience. Getting to know each person, holding their hands, listening to their stories—it was emotional, rewarding, and filled with so much love. I am excited to continue Blessing Baskets as part of our mission when we return to Peru in March 2026.

Building a Better Future Together
We officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in September of 2024. At the time, so many things were unfolding within our family and our personal lives, yet God continued to press on our hearts to begin this organization. In just a matter of months, we raised more than we needed for our Christmas Mission alone—a clear reminder that when God leads, He also provides.
As a family and as an organization, we prayerfully decided to steward the additional funds toward 'Building Better Futures Together'.
In May of 2025, I traveled to Peru to visit several schools located in remote areas of the Andes Mountains. The purpose of this trip was to learn more about each school and identify their greatest needs for the children. I was warmly welcomed into five different schools alongside my father, Guisella, Pastor Jose, and Pastor Elizabeth. I met with principals and teachers, visited classrooms, and even had the opportunity to sit with the children and do schoolwork together—an experience I will never forget.
We toured each school and held meetings with the principals to discuss both the immediate and long-term needs of the students and the schools as a whole. The information I received was eye-opening. There are so many things we often take for granted—things these children simply do not have. This part of my journey was deeply emotional, but also incredibly meaningful. I learned so much.
Through this trip, Angels of the Andes was able to bless an entire classroom with notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, colored pencils, erasers, and pencil bags. We also purchased new school uniforms for one school and provided a stove for another- these stories are above. And this is only the beginning—there is much more coming in the months ahead.
Thank you to all of our generous donors. We truly could not do this without you.

When the Road Became the Mission
One of the greatest blessings of our mission is seeing the smiles on the children’s faces. Whether we arrive in their villages, visit their schools, or stop by their homes with clothing, it truly makes a difference—especially in the mountains, where the nights can be very cold. I always try to bring sweatshirts and jackets for the children to help keep them warm.
Sometimes we are even able to bring a few small toys, and those moments are always a big hit. The joy on their faces is unforgettable.
I am incredibly grateful to have many friends in New York who donate clothing that I am able to bring with me to Peru. We are also blessed with a dear friend who lives in Lima and donates generously as well. She sends boxes up to the mountains ahead of my visits so that we have extra clothes and toys to distribute when I arrive.
These children and their families are not expecting us. They don’t see us coming—and that is part of the beauty of our mission. God leads the way according to His perfect plan, guiding us to those who are called according to His purpose. These families are in need, and then suddenly, we are there—right where we are meant to be.
That is the beauty of our mission. God leads the way.
